Wines of Europe: France, Bordeaux, and the Noble Grapes, May 21, 6:30-8:30

$85.00

If France is the heart of the contemporary wine world, Bordeaux is the epicenter. It is home to some of the most recognizable grapes: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Malbec, and more. We will explore how and why Bordeaux’s wine tradition helped shape the history of France and much of Europe. We will introduce the basics of Bordeaux beginning with how to decipher the labels, the difference between major sub-regions, and the influence of climate in the history and future of the region. As we discuss the major cultural and historical markers in Bordeaux, we will sample six different regional wines. Each wine will be paired with a small plate.

The Seasoned Farmhouse will supply small bites with the wine tasting.

A week before class we will send you a link to purchase the wine tasting for your class from House Wine. Wine portion is between $20-$25
