Fabulous fungi…it’s been our experience that people tend to love them or hate them. It is undeniable, though, that they are highly nutritious and promote health benefits such as decreasing cancer risk, lowering cholesterol, and supporting healthy immune systems to name a few. So, in this class we will explore the use of some different types of mushrooms and how we can incorporate them into our lives. We will snack on some crispy mushrooms with a green herb mayonnaise as we launch into preparing chicken sausage and mushroom bake with arugula and croutons, miso glazed lion’s mane steaks over jasmine rice, mushroom Bolognese tossed with pasta, marinated mushroom toasts and candy cap crème brûlèe for dessert. We’re convinced you will walk away with a new love for mushrooms.
