Do the French have barbecues as frequently as we do here in the US? The truth is, probably not. But it’s not unheard of and we thought we would take a little creative license here as we plan for a lovely bistro night at the Farmhouse. We will prepare a few types of brochettes (skewers) to grill; one with chicken and figs in balsamic marinade and one with monkfish and lemons in an herbs de Provence marinade, a French vinaigrette potato salad, a “top of the season” tomato tart and Vichy carrots. Chocolate filled crepes with freshly whipped cream and strawberries will serve as the pièce de résistance of the evening!
