Not-to-Forget North India, June 12, 5:30-7:30
Though I grew up in eastern India, North Indian cuisine is very familiar to me. I will share some dishes that originated in northern India. Some of these items are influenced by the Mughals who ruled India (from mid-sixteenth to mid-eighteenth century). The Taj Mahal was built by Shah Jahan (one of the Mughal emperors) in 1631.
I will share some North Indian items, the menu for this Chef’s Table Class:
Turkey Kababs
Basmati Rice
Toor Dal (lentils called split yellow pigeon peas)
Paneer Butter Masala (curry made of cheese)
Chicken Mughlai (a royal dish of chicken)
Mango Ice Cream
Chef’s Table (you will sit around the island, the chef cooks and teaches little tricks of the trade while you taste and savor the food). Recipes will be provided.
